Cabernet Pfeffer is a bit of a mystery, the second of our new wines, and has an exceptionally muddled heritage. Originally thought to be a fusion of Cabernet Sauvignon and possibly Trousseau, it has since been found by U.C. Davis to be genetically identical to the Bordeaux variety Mourtaou. The aromatic journey begins with an enticing red currant and wild strawberry blend, complemented by rosemary and tomato leaf herbaceous notes. On the palate, you will find notes of cranberry and white pepper. Elevate your experience by decanting this bright and perfumed wine, or enjoy it with a slight chill.
