Slightly less ripe than previous vintages, the refreshing quality of this wine is even more exaggerated. The fruits (raspberry, strawberry, boysenberry) are even fresher, as are the complimentary herbal elements (mint, bay leaf, purple flowers). The exuberance of the wine is somewhat tempered by earthiness and a solid (but not cumbersome) structure of tannin. Ultimately, a quaffable and friendly, even playful wine.
