There’s hardly any Chenin Blanc left in California, and we are proud to work with this patch, planted on its own roots in 1972. Immediately reminiscent of pastures, and windrowed hay. Briny, mineral elements punctuate the wine: wet beach sand and pebbles. Lemongrass and lemon pith provide zest. There is great texture in this wine, a result of short skin-contact, aging in neutral barrels, and malolactic fermentation. This is a serious white wine.
